April 2009 Degree of Enclosure: Landscapes by Michael Bartmann Meet the Artist Reception: Friday, April 3, 6-9pm Philadelphia artist, Michael Bartmann’s unique landscapes utilize drafted lines juxtaposed with chaotic brush strokes of atmosphere. His layering process goes back and forth from construction to deconstruction and is visible in each final piece, inviting the viewer to roam throughout each painting. February 2009 Dennis Haggerty: Inspired by Taos Meet the Artist Reception: Friday, February 6, 6-9pm Dennis Haggerty continually studies the American Southwest and paints highly expressive renderings of the Western skies. His sunsets capture the spell bounding quality of light over mountain ranges. These semi abstract paintings of “skyscapes” often feature blazing dusk or dusk ruddy sky colors.
