   Still Life Exhibition: Giving Life to Ordinary Objects

   Barnstone Gallery is representing three still life artists whose work varies in style from

   whimsy and bright to an intense photo realisim.  By choosing these artists, we embrace

   the differences between their work and each of their abilities to take ordinary objects

   and inject life to them while utilizing composition, color, line and texture.

   Join Barnstone Gallery as we celebrate moments in time as presented by six featured

   landscape artists. Every place, every moment affects us in some way. An artist’s intense

   observation of nature helps us to see things we might ordinarily miss. They use color,

   shape, style and intensity to express their impressions, dreams and desires. These artists

   take what for many of us, is just a momentary gaze and create lasting memories and

   associations of time and place.  Featuring work by J. Wayne Bystrom, Kirsten Fischler,

   for some a celebration of beauty others a statement representing a deeper emotion.

   Alphabet City Series: Veil by Rhoda Kahler

   First Friday Reception: March 5, 5-8

   Featuring handbuilt ceramic work by Rhoda Kahler, Sharon Bartmann & Kate Missett.

   Pinching, coiling, extruding, molding, slip casting & slab work are all techniques

   used by ceramic artists who focus on handbuilding. These three artists create

   unique one-of-a-kind pieces demonstrating the full extent of their imaginations

   and artistic capabilities.
