A self-taught artist, Kim Z. Franklin has a particular interest in visualization techniques as a means of inspiration for her wortk.  Kim Z. feels an embodiment of the supreme delicate awareness and strong sense of symbolism, are inherent to the process of creative inner vision.  Expanding this vision through art is a source to continually express new ideas and concepts, interpret disparate sensations, feelings and/or data with the creative goal to make known the unknown.

"Beaded sculpture and wall art is created by using a single needle weaving technique using improvisational stitching over handcrafted understructures and then mounted in forged metalwork."

"Internal images are my wellspring and unite me to the physical world, therfore I rely strictly on memory images and/or visualization as a means to draw inspiration for my artwork."
