Jeffrey Brouse is a self taught visual artist born and raised in the Phoenixville area. Now residing in Birchrunville, he creates his images working from a studio located in his home. Being self taught, his art is an ongoing journey, an adventure that changes as his artistic style develops and intensifies. Through his artwork he hopes to take viewers on their own personal "journeys"...excursions into the imagination.

Creative drive:
"I consider myself a photographer that loves working with image editing software.  My fractural art allows me to work on projects that are very different from photography but at the same time, similar in the editing processes."

What is unique about your process:

"This process begins using a Macintosh computer running a fractal flame editor software program.  A fractal is a small part of a geometric shape that can be divided into parts and each part is a reduced copy of the original piece.  I create a fractal flame that interests me.  That image is then artistically enhanced using layers of contrast, color, luminance and sharpening."   

Personal relationship with your work:
"I have a beautiful relationship with my wife Susan.  Her love, support and encouragement allow me to follow any path of creativity my mind can imagine.  She is my inspiration."

Thoughts on sharing art:
"My hope is that people enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating and sharing it."
