"After a classical Russian academic foundation at the Stroganoff School of Fine Arts of Moscow, Valeria Maksimova followed the voice of her heart and arrived in Brussels. Influenced by another form of art and benefited by her participation in 'La Cambe-Ecole Superieure d'Arts Visuels' and training of Francoise Dalle, Valeria separated from figurative art to reorient herself with abstract art. Her goal is not just to reproduce what is visible but to render it visible. Her art creates an emotional environment without being too explicit and allows the spectator the freedom of interpretation and the invitation to dream.

Valeria focuses on the elements of nature like water, rocks, and trees with reflections, shadows and lights creating unique atmospheres."
